Dear Friends and Supporters,

Greetings from the northern land of Michigan! We are grateful for your prayers and support as we continue this journey of faith and ministry. The past month has been filled with the Lord’s provision, guidance, and opportunities to serve.

Over the past weeks, we have witnessed God’s faithfulness in many ways. From deepening relationships in our new community to preparing for upcoming ministry opportunities, we are continually reminded that He goes before us in all things. Even in times of sorrow, such as the recent passing of La Abuelita, we have felt His comfort and peace surrounding our family.

As we share this update, our hearts are full of gratitude for the ways you partner with us in prayer and encouragement. We hope this letter finds you well and encouraged in the Lord. Our desire is to keep you informed and engaged in what God is doing in our lives and ministry. Thank you for walking this journey with us!

1. A Month of Loss and Hope - Remembering La Abuelita Vicky:

This past month has been one of both sorrow and gratitude for our family. On January 28, 2025, Lidia’s beloved grandmother, La Abuelita Victorina “Vicky” Pérez Vallecillo, peacefully entered into the presence of her Savior at the age of 97. Her passing has left a deep void in our hearts, yet we are comforted by the unshakable faith she carried throughout her life.

Over the past few weeks, we have mourned, remembered, and celebrated the incredible legacy she leaves behind—a life marked by love, prayer, and devotion to Christ. Her journey took her from her humble beginnings to impacting countless lives, including those in our own church communities. Many who knew her have shared stories of her kindness, wisdom, and steadfast faith, reminding us that her influence will continue for generations to come.

While this season has been heavy with grief, it has also been filled with gratitude. We are thankful for the years God granted her, for the lessons she imparted, and for the hope we have in Christ—that this is not a final goodbye, but a hasta pronto.

Thank you to all who have prayed for us, sent messages of encouragement, and shared in our grief. Your love has been a source of strength, and we are grateful beyond words.

2. The Blessing of Family Reunion

In the midst of sorrow, God provided a beautiful blessing—family. As we grieved the passing of La Abuelita, we were surrounded by loved ones from different states, some of whom we had not seen in over a decade. Family members traveled from Florida, North Carolina, and beyond, coming together in a time of loss to comfort one another and cherish our shared memories.

Though our hearts were heavy, we found unexpected joy in the unity that filled our time together. We reminisced about the past, shared laughter, and strengthened bonds that had been stretched by time and distance. It was a powerful reminder of the love and legacy that La Abuelita left behind—a family that supports and uplifts each other even in the hardest moments.

The presence of family brought great comfort to all of us. The warmth of their embrace, the stories exchanged, and the simple act of being together helped heal the ache of our loss. In a season of grief, God gave us a moment of joy, reinforcing the beauty of family and the strength found in togetherness.

As we move forward, we hold onto the cherished moments we shared, grateful for the blessing of family and the comfort God provided through their presence.

3. Enjoying our First Winter Wonderland

As the cold winter months continue, our girls are still finding so much joy in the snow! Whether it’s sledding down hills, building snowmen, or simply playing outside in the fresh winter air, they have embraced the season with excitement and energy. Watching their laughter and enthusiasm reminds us of the beauty in every season, even in the midst of freezing temperatures!

Along with outdoor fun, we have also remained committed to our homeschooling journey. The girls continue their education at home, where we explore subjects together, and also participate in learning at ERC School at church. This combination has been a wonderful blessing, providing both structured learning and opportunities for fellowship and growth with other children.

As we balance winter play and academics, we are grateful for the ways God is guiding our family in this season. Thank you for your continued prayers and encouragement as we navigate homeschooling, ministry, and the daily joys of family life!

4. Road Trip to Texas and Church Visits! 🚙

Exciting News: Our Upcoming Trip to Texas!

We are thrilled to share some exciting news—our family is heading to Texas in March!

This trip is a wonderful opportunity for us to connect with churches, serve in teaching and music, and share the amazing ministry plan and adventure that God has placed on our hearts.

Our journey will take us through Dallas, Houston, and Austin, where we hope to engage with congregations, build relationships, and encourage others in their faith. We are actively looking for churches to visit, where we can minister through the Word and worship, and share the vision that God has given us.

If you know of any churches or individuals in these areas who would be open to connecting with us, we would love to hear from you!

We are excited to see how God will use this trip to strengthen partnerships, open doors, and provide opportunities to serve.

Please keep us in your prayers as we prepare for this journey. Pray for divine appointments, safe travels, and fruitful ministry opportunities. We look forward to sharing the incredible ways God is working in our lives and inviting others to be part of this mission.

5. Prayer Requests for This Season:

As we continue in this important season of raising support and stepping forward in faith, we deeply appreciate your prayers. We know that God is the provider of all things, and we trust Him to open doors and bring the right people alongside us in this journey.

Here are some specific ways you can be praying for us:

Provision and Open Doors: Pray that God would connect us with churches and individuals who have a heart for ministry and would be led to partner with us financially and in prayer.
Fruitful Ministry in Texas: As we travel through Dallas, Houston, and Austin, pray for divine appointments, opportunities to serve, and open hearts as we share our vision.
Strength and Encouragement: Pray that we would remain steadfast and encouraged, trusting in God's timing and provision even in moments of uncertainty.
Family and Homeschooling: Pray for our daughters as they continue to enjoy the winter season and balance their education at home and at ERC School. May they grow in knowledge and faith during this time.
Comfort and Healing: As we grieve the passing of La Abuelita, we ask for prayers of comfort and peace for our family and for those who mourn with us. We are grateful for the joy we have found in our recent family reunion.
